The company is certified with the Quality Management System ISO 9000 since 1996. The system is harmonized with the new standard ISO 9000:2000 and re-assessed and certified on February 2003.
The company makes the best use of the inherent benefits of the Quality Management System. Manufacturing operation and management processes are executed via a powerful Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System of J.D.Edwards. Amongst other benefits, this system largely facilitates the materials’ flow management.
Performance Indices to monitor the effectiveness of our Quality Management System and ensure Continuous Improvement were established. An Integrated system to establish and implement such indices to the Small and Medium Size Enterprises is initiated by a Research Team in which the company is actively involved.
A Survey to obtain the feedback from our customers was carried out and assessed the leading role of Premier.Shukuroglou Ltd in the Cyprus market.
GOOD LABORATORY PRACTICE
Our Quality Control and Quality Assurance Department implements the Good Laboratory Practice. This system covers the whole supply chain; from the supplier (assessment of his products and services), to the control of the incoming materials and their storage, the validation of processes and in-process control, the validation of test methods and control of finished products and to the distribution processes and storage in the shops.
The scientific approach to the establishment and implementation of the Good Manufacturing Practice and the Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes that the company utilizes is attributed to the scientific profile of personnel and its learning attitude.
RESEARCH
A pioneer Research Scheme in cooperation with the University of Cyprus, funded by the Foundation for the Promotion of Research and Syngenta is currently in progress. The Research Team works on the development of innovative pesticide formulations with environmentally friendly components.
ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY
The company is particularly prudent towards Environmental issues: Modern systems to ensure clean environment, the protection of underground water resources and the control of air emissions are in operation within the Site.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE
Prominent importance is given within Premier.Shukuroglou Ltd in respect to Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Hygiene. The company established and implements a Risk Assessment System, thus monitoring hazards and taking pro-active measures. The Safety Committee of the Company is in continuous alert and its role is vital in the decision making process. During the events of the 2003 Safety Week organized by the Department of Labour Inspection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance the Committee was awarded the First Prize.
The Health and Safety AWARD in the sector of Chemical Industries was awarded to Premier.Shukuroglou Ltd three times: 1992, 1995 and 2000.
Regarding Health and Safety issues and Industrial Hygiene, for more than 15 years the company systematically monitors the health standard of personnel through medical examinations comprising of full blood analysis and a yearly as well as quarterly check up RBC Cholinesterase monitering.
